Electronic Money and Payments in 2020 – Money Week 2018

The Money Week is a world-wide celebration of money, which aims to raise awareness for the young generation to be responsible citizens capable of making well-informed financial decisions. The Bank of Albania, in cooperation with the Albanian Association of Banks and the support of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, as well as many other institutions around the globe, organize different activities to involve children and young people by teaching them how to manage and save money, how to think financially or how to understand the changes in the economic systems in which they live, how to earn income through entrepreneurship and lay the foundations for their future through financial literacy.

One of the institutions that organized an event within the week of money was EasyPay, the only electronic money institution in Albania. The event focused on money and payment trends in 2020. In cooperation with Protik Innovation Center, the event attracted dozens of young people, including representatives from high school students in Tirana, participants at Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs Tirana, Junior Achievement Albania and students from different universities in the country. In addition to the open lecture which was very interactive, the evening was closed with a short quiz that tested the financial knowledge of the young participants, prepared by EasyPay. Two winning students, Fatjona Brami and Nelid Dedolli, were awarded some gifts sponsored by EasyPay.
