On 16-18 May 2018, the International Conference on the Transfer of Money and Payments (IMTC EMEA 2018) was organized in Brussels.
An interesting part of the conference was the discussion panel session which gathered representatives from different countries who tried to answer to the hottest topics of the moment. Linda Shomo (founder and CEO of EasyPay) was the only representative of Albania during this session and had an important role in the discussions on the Digitalization of the Financial Industry and Remittances.
Mrs. Linda Shomo was part of these two panels, where the following topics were discussed:
- The Fintech Revolution: Invited panelists shared their views on fintech development in Europe, the future of Cryptocurrencies, Distributed Ledger Technologies & ICOs and fintech in Europe-Dependent Corridors.
- Digital Remittances: Will PSD2 & Banking Rails boost digital money transfers & payments from & to Europe?
Payments in Europe are certainly been impacted by new regulations & opportunities. Will they boost Money Transfers to & from Europe?
IMTC is basically a forum of the Money Transfer, Remittances & Cross-Border Payments Industry, a forum of people involved in providing x-border financial services, such as Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), Foreign Exchange firms, Banks, Payment Processors and Mobile Operators involved in financial services (MMOs), as well as a large array of institutions, for-profit and non-profit, that provide services along migration corridors, to people or companies, personal or commercial, formal or informal.
IMTC brought the researchers, the consultants, the politicians, the regulators, the activists, but also the providers of services or products that intersect with the industry’s core services.
